There is a 1 in 2 chance that tracks 4 and 5 are on the same platform. Now with our app, you don’t have to flip a coin anymore!

We show a cross-platform badge when your connecting train will be on the other side of the same platform, so you don’t have to worry about sprinting up and down the stairs 🏃‍♂️

This works already for most major German stations, and will be expanded further!

@chuuchuu
I don't know how it's in other counties, but have you considered parts of platforms? On larger Dutch stations, you sometimes need to move from 4a to 5b which can be a 50m sprint on the same platform. #edgecase
@Joris we don’t support this for Dutch stations yet, but it’s a good question. Can a transfer from 4A to 5B be considered a cross-platform transfer or would it be confusing?
@chuuchuu
I am honestly not sure. It could be confusing, or at least misleading if you expect a cross-platform transfer to take 30 seconds instead and it takes two minutes. Could be even more, if you're in the back of the train and need to traverse a crowded Amsterdam Central station platform.
@Joris @chuuchuu I once took the wrong train at the same track but different platform in Czechia once and nearly missed a flight. I would make it very clear that there are different sections as it can be very confusing if you're not used to that being a thing.
@chuuchuu is there a dataset for this or do you enter that manually?
@julian_b partially data from DB but still needed to add a lot of platforms manually!
