I spent ages looking for the official MV for this, but I see in the comments of this one, that it was deleted.
But I wanted to include it... "Home" Jimmy Fallon show, filmed during that damned pandemic. This was a key video in daughter's 2021 BTS training for Mum ( me) programme, but I didn't really know what was going on. Then fell in love with the song at the 2022 live show at cinemas, by which time I got the chaos factor.

I'm not sure I have enough videos for the whole countdown, but there's several things that hark back to that "who are BTS?" Time - which was literally 5 years ago. That's when we were trapped in the third lockdown - January to April 2021 - watching BTS.
"Home" seemed a good choice for today because I had an awful trip home from work ( which should be a short distance)

As we found BTS once BE was released, Butter was our first experience of a "K-pop comeback" ( words to learn alongside stan, idol, wrecker etc). From a video of melting butter, poloraid photos, teasers, to getting up incredibly early - daughter got up in time for the pre- release games, I just woke up at 5am for the video.
I guess they wrote Pied Piper about this... But at that stage I don't think I knew PP.

I recall by May I was back at work part-time, it's when my husband & I were job sharing. He had worked during the worst of lockdown while I was doing stuff at home.
But I was at home on Butter release day, and the day was just full of interviews and special performances. In fact these were the things I was scrolling through when I found the photo shoot behind scenes.
I remember we also thought it was funny to theme our meals that day around buttery foods!!

Then after release day, there were more & more videos, performances, behind scenes...
It's when we fully took on the scale of K-pop promotion, which is off the scale...
Except ARIRANG which, has been quite low-key so far?
Not too sure what to expect weekend 20/21/22 March, except we are probably out for a meal with friends to celebrate 60th birthdays....

@nvrmnd1069 Film Out just appeared out of nowhere? Daughter was very excited by it, and I was still confused about so much Bangtan stuff!
So far Arirang has been secretive, clues dropped here and there?
Talking as a mother, I'm worried they have made a tight deadline to reach a Spring Day, and I do hope the rehearsals/ MV recording/ photo shoots, aren't being too demanding, because they need energy for the live shows... Hopefully they are looking after their own health & wellbeing.

It's taken me a while to find a Dionysus MMA 2019 video with everything - horses, maidens etc - in it.
But this is one of the videos I watched in spring 2021 and started to fall down the rabbit hole - I went away and researched who Dionysus was... #BTS have certainly been an all round educational discovery. But the complete scale of this performance was astonishing.

Using twitter for translations still/ appreciating the amount of views & reactions, to piles of books/ reminded of the day BTS started to use Instagram & often delete Instagram/ reminded of the variety of interests of OT7/ how can RM find time to read these days?/ How much have I learnt since finding BTS - from 134340 & lonely whales to Korean artists & musicians - what have I done as well! I'm thinking, just from those piles of unsorted books, what journey with the #arirang album take me on?
It's already led to hours of listening to love songs! #WhatIsYourLoveSong and reading about the song Arirang and its meaning to Koreans, and exploring the symbols on the SK flag...
And I still have a couple of unread Carl Jung books from 2 years ago, this one lingers in my pile of bedside books. Will I read it one day?

FOUR years ago we went to the cinema VERY early to watch this. A totally memorable day as Shadow gave birth to four kittens during the night... I had to work in the afternoon. During one of the video breaks, my brain just went: "what am I doing here?" Would past me expect me to still be here 4 years on?

Yes, as i said, my thoughts are less on the amount of his books and the tidying, but on what he has already brought to my life through his interests. Which has included a great pile of books on Korea, Jung, Hesse & Murakami.
And I *think* this may be where my addiction to choreo videos started - *stomp stomp* *squeak squeak*
