I put my reMarkable 2 tablet on eBay this morning. I was considering using a site like Swappa and taking 10-20% less in exchange for convenience. I dunno. Fingers crossed.

Within an hour of posting my stuff on eBay, I got two scam messages with somewhat creative payloads.

I tell ya, some days it feels like the internet is just scams, malware, and grift.

I sold the item on eBay. I guess it's been a while since I've sold anything. I assumed they still used PayPal for processing. They use Trustly™ now and would prefer to have my banking credentials. This is absolutely preposterous. Fortunately, there's a way to manually enter routing/account numbers manually. I can't even.
Welp, I've been cured of the desire to use eBay in the future. I must have missed the memo -- sales tax is collected on swap meet electronics now? That and the "transaction fees" makes $82.05 sucked out of the purchase. Maybe I'll try Craigslist next time and barter for heroin.
