I'm watching LinkedIn throttle this post. (I don't care, but I like seeing the numbers.)

I used to post a ton on there. Super thoughtful posts on product and organizational culture. What people need to do good work.

Then they started throttling posts. Anything with links, anything anti-AI or anti-LinkedIn posts usually gets murdered by the algorithm.

And now it's just people vs the algorithms trying to play the game. AI vs AI trying to get ahead.

I didn't want to see my content next to the slop, so I stopped making the content. Stopped having insightful conversations with the people who wanted to talk about our mutual interests.

The platform is exhausting.

If it goes the way I've seen it before, it'll artificially cap at 1000 impressions, then someone popular sees and bumps it to 2000. I've seen these artificial caps a lot.

For the amount of active engagement this post is getting, it's obviously thoroughly throttled.

Hellsite is ridiculous.

@mayintoronto I've always thought of it as a junior high school cafeteria and it just keeps getting worse.

Fit in or face the consequences. Because that sparks innovation and encourages critical thinking.

@mayintoronto it seems like their silly algorithm isn't perfect, my post against broad adoption of AI attracted a lot of likes and comments - it doesn't hurt to try to sabotage the system

@mayintoronto I love going on r/LinkedInlunatics because of how ppl make the same 3 deranged, antisocial posts about being a human being. Cannot believe that these types exists.
