198 effect sizes in ego depletion resesrch showed an effect size of d=0.62. Preregistered large replications (including some by original authors) yielded an effect size of 0. No one has been able to offer any other explanation for this huge research waste than massive p-hacking.

@lakens Aha, but then why does Baumeister say in his new book that ego-depletion is "clearly among social psychology's most widely replicated findings"? Check mate!

@satrevik It is quite something, seeing a scientists who so blatantly doesn't give a fuck about the truth. All we can do is to ignore him, as he deserves to be. men of his generation were often incompetent storytellers in psychology. Convincing for other incompetent people, but we now have too many people trained well enough to see through this bullshit.
