I'm just slightly colorblind. Not enough to really matter day to day, but enough that it makes my brain hurt trying to figure out the bands on resistors.

I'm "get the ohm-meter" colorblind, not "is the traffic light green" colorblind

@N3VEM When I worked in an electronics plant some people couldn't be hired regardless of their qualifications or background because of this.

Didn't matter so much for the engineers in the office because the component values were in text on the computer, but good color vision was a requirement for working on the actual production floor.

@N3VEM The struggle is real. I'm not color blind but my son is. The traffic light type. Realized it when he was about 6 and I replaced my green F-150 with a red Ram 2500 and he said "cool dad, your new truck same color as your old one, I like it."
