Spotted this extremely condensed type on a hotel door sign last weekend. I know it’s not Gorton like many of these pantographed signs, but I couldn’t stop staring at how squished it was. cc @mwichary

Impressively ugly. Interestingly, judging by line widths the glyphs do not look artificially compressed but seem to come from a font running that small.
Looks somehow sloppy, though. The first few characters at the left seem to stand a bit lower than the rest.

@TeXniker They're engraved, not printed. All the lines are the same width -- the width of the cutting tool.
