Another lovely walk to school with Ethan this morning. He noticed brambles being replaced by young trees to stabilise the riverbank, which led to a chat about wildlife, seasons, and change. The river was high, and we wondered if anyone will walk this route when he’s grown up. I’ll never regret leaving early for these quiet, nature-filled walks — they’ve been truly priceless.

@IoanSaid I didn't have so much nature to observe but I *loved* my walks to school in the morning with my kids.
It was 15 to 20 minutes of gloriously simple "us time". Loads of fun, philosophical chat, singing, joking, planning, watching birds, counting cars, just protected dad and kids time. 10 years of it.

I'd say I missed it when it ended, but I didn't. When it was time for them to move on I had other things to do.
