Kenny StyleI have been away from home for nearly four weeks. I am currently one hour and twenty minutes away from home. It was not a pleasure trip, but there were many pleasurable parts. That said - I am soooo looking forward to one hour and twenty-one minutes from now.
Nearly a week of those nearly four weeks was spent riding the rails. Amtraked from the west coast to the southeast. That was a genuine joy. If I had it to do over again, I MIGHT get a room for the 12 hours in New Orleans, instead of 2.5 hours of drinks followed by 9.5 hours of sitting in the depot. Don’t regret even that though. Kind of nice to be nowhere for a few days.
