Eric Phelps@guizz I've wondered about that. If you're off the trail by a few feet, is the snow more likely to give way under you? Or is it a case of "hey, it hasn't happened so far, so it must be okay"?
@ericphelps As you can see, at the right side there are some tracks of a wild animal. There was a strong wind in the valley as I came there yesterday. Over the trail there was 50-60 cm of snow brought by the wind. I needed 3 hours to get there (instead of 1 hour without snow) and I had the snowshoes. There wasn't a trail and I had to search left-right for a way to go on (at every step I felt 20-30 cm in the snow)
