@davx5app @fdroidorg A small suggestion: We should not be using their propaganda term. We're not "side-loading" anything, we're installing programs on our own hardware. Calling it side loading plays into their narrative that we're doing something we shouldn't with our devices. It makes our battle harder, because the average non-techy user will hear side-loading and think it's something subversive and ignore us as we try to convince them this is a bad thing for Google to block.

I have just reactivated my /e/os and downloaded the privacy applications such as my bank, health assurance...

Just use a different OS, e.g. LineageOS. It's Android without Google, and all FDroid apps will work. Basically, when Apple invented IPhone, Google took Linux and turned it into a spytool (that you appera to be using) and called it Android. It's open source. Smart people removed the spyware for their own phones, decompile it, put it on their phones et voilá they worked but without Google components. These guys published their work. It's yours for the download. LineageOS.org

@fdroidorg @tagomago I feel like it's worth pushing custom ROMs a lot harder as a really solid move to try to try thwart surveillance capitalism.
