I think I'm going to have to start some sort of hash tag about these potter dramatized books. Love Dumbledoor, both the character and the actor who plays him is awesome. I think the quittage coach Wood is going to have a heart attack as wound up as he is lol
@startrek2025 no way! dumbledore, is in my personal opinion very manipulitive. while I like the original books, I read a lot of fanfics, and a lot of the ones that are a favorite of mine are ones where he is even more manipulitive than he is in the books, but the other characters don't let him get away with it.
@JamminJerry I haven't found him to be manipulative so far in these first three books, but maybe that will come out as I go on
@startrek2025 @JamminJerry I had another person I used to talk to occasionally who also felt that Dumbledore was manipulative. I didn't take him that way, in fact I liked his character a lot, but I could see where other people could feel that he was. That other side of him comes out a little bit in book 6, the half-blood Prince, and a lot in the Deathly Hallows, the last book in the series.
@Julieroc40 @startrek2025 I don't know. I think if you look at some things he did even in earlier books like making harry go back to the derslies even though they treate him like serious shit is rather manipulitive in my book. I mean it is as if he doesn't care how harry is treated. it keeps you safe. yeah, maybe safe from death eaters, but not his own family! he lets snape treate harry the way he does, and we all know if a teacher were to do that to a student in real life, he would be gone faster than you can say holy shit. and just other things like that that when you look at at it, yeah, he is a bit of a bastard.
@JamminJerry @Julieroc40 At least he let Harry stay for the holidays
