@massivelyop I'm not much of a fan of multi boxing. Just seems like botting and a way to break economies and bust up regular folks gaming. When is see a string of players just following after each other like a line of bots killing spawns before other players can get them for their drops it's just a pain. Alts are a different thing , I just use them as a way to try different classes and such

@samkash @massivelyop Hi there. I too am an altaholic.

*breathes a sigh of relief*

It feels good to get that off my chest.

@massivelyop I'm in favour of alt accounts (on #LOTRO, it was the only way to play on the US servers back then, for example). Multiboxing, I'm less prone to like it (even if we had a kinmate who managed to actually play two characters at once - a hunter and a captain - which helped us quite a few times in the dire days of low population on the servers)
@massivelyop everyone hates multiboxers until they can't get a healer

@massivelyop

Well this won't get controversial or anything *grabs 🍿 *

But seriously, it's about the negative impacts on the play of others. If the multi-accounter is just doing solo dungeon runs, keeping gear mules or whatever and isn't swooping in to kill-steal or greif others then I don't have an issue with it.

I have multiple accounts in many games myself, mostly because of my uncontrollable alt-o-holism, but most modern games are designed for you to NOT be able to play them all to max effectiveness at the same time unless you're using specialist software, which is a line I will not cross. Sure i'll have one account on /follow of another sometimes but the lead character is the one doing the work carrying the /follow. It's not really any different than two players doing the same thing.
