Been going through a zillion Fediverse-connected blogs to find ones to highlight on FediFollows and the best ones are those that are a bit rough round the edges. On those blogs you can most easily tell it's a human doing it, and that's the most valuable quality a blog can have.

If you're doing a blog, don't be scared of it looking a bit amateurish! Ultimately blogs are supposed to be about humans reading the thoughts of other humans. The more obviously human-created your blog is, the better 👍

@FediThing exactly. The blogs I love the most are the ones that make one stretch because the author is stretching.

My real passion with blogs are those that connect things in creative ways, dare explore truth no matter where it takes them, and have the 'oops' posts. 🙃

@FediThing
Can you name some of those fediverse-connected blog platforms?

@fasnix

I was just going through some Ghost-powered blogs. More info at https://fedi.tips/ghost-blogs-and-newsletters-on-the-fediverse

Other Fedi-compatible blogging platforms include Write Freely and WordPress.

Never done anything like this so I still don't know what I'm doing, just thinking about it as digital scrapbooking & not trying to fall into any specific niche just because someone liked it

Currently rewriting a paper I wrote years ago I wanted to submit to eff

Doing my best & only have the one paper up so far. Takes a minute to load base64 mp3 & lots of high resolution images from different sources
