@eliocamp some times the viewer or help panes with lock up or not display properly, but my sessions have been stable

@eliocamp I’ve had some strange memory exceptions that have caused grief with vscode recently, but that could be a strange {targets} thing.

@eliocamp No, not like that at all. I wonder if you spun up your analysis with vscode (sans ark) if it would work. I know easier said than done because getting vscode and r playing takes a bit of effort. From your issue it seems the dev team don’t have ideas either 😔

@danwwilson And it might not be a positron issue. It might be some weird incompatibility between some of system packages versions.

@eliocamp Not sure if it's the same issue, but I sometimes see the session being mostly unresponsive. I try to restart R and it freezes completely. I then get a popup about connection to R being lost or something. I usually end up restarting Positron entirely.

It is very common & annoying, although I don't really know what triggers it.

@grusonh Yes I get that too, but it seems to be a different issue. This is a sudden crash of the R session, while positron remains responsive and restarts the session correctly

@eliocamp Do you know by chance if there is an issue tracking this other problem then? I tried to quickly check yesterday but wasn't sure what to look for to be honest.
