@realityblurred Thanks for sharing Andy, that was a great read. I agree with everything in it, except for one thing, when Mario (or is it Brad) says that the general audience could relate to the players pre-Rob but not so much afterward. For me, it's really the opposite. I don't think I really related to any Survivor contestant pre-Rob, but Rob was the first one to whom I did. Yes, he "ruined" Survivor from being a social experiment, but it allowed Survivor to be a first and foremost a game. ⤵️

@realityblurred That's what made me fall in love with Survivor, the gaming aspect, not the social experiment aspect. And I also believe that's the reason Survivor has such longevity with no end in sight (hopefully). Because as a game, it always evolves, people always find new ways to "beat the game." If it had remained a social experiment, I'm not too sure it would have gone on much longer than season 10 or so.
