Poem in sijo form by Yi Yŏng (1615-1637) taken from the book "The Columbia Anthology of Traditional Korean Poetry"

Who sliced the crescent moon so small;
who drew the full moon so round?
Streams flow but do not dry up; smoke disappears as soon as it rises.
I don't understand
the waxing and waning of this world.
