So, today, I am dumping Windows, again. For some history, I grew up with computers like the #commodore64 and #ti994a until I got to high school. Around 1997, I got a Packard Bell as my first Windows PC, with the intention of playing the PC version of Final Fantasy VII.
When I went to college in 1998, I started customizing and assembling my own gaming PCs. Considering I was surrounded by CS majors, I got a lot of good advice. Some time during grad school, c. 2008, I got an #macbook laptop and slowly drifted away from the Windows PC scene for a few years.
In 2012 and 2016, as I got into games on #Steam, I bought #alienware pre-built machines, pre-installed with Windows 7 and Windows 10. They have served me well for all my gaming needs until recently. However, in the background, I had been dabbling with #linux for my professional desktop needs.
