Humans Will Give AI Anything If You Make It Sound Cool Enough

There's a beautiful moment happening right now, and by 'beautiful' I mean 'horrifying in that can't-look-away-from-the-car-crash sense.'

@Javvad Is that your headshot for the movie studios to audition to be the next James Bond  Double-O Jav
@InfoSecSherpa maaaybe :) ill keep auditioning!!! 🤣

@Javvad I've set up OpenClaw on a disposable system and today's defaults for it are fairly secure.

  • Only has access to a sandboxed filesystem
  • no ports available to external network
  • still saves your API keys to a plain text file though

I connected it to a Telegram bot and it works great, but it doesn't really give me anything that the Claude iOS/Android app wouldn't give me.

The moment you start connecting it to your email, code repos, cloud files, etc it goes from relatively safe to super dangerous, so I'm not really sure what it's useful for.

Except as that expensive bonfire. Maybe rich people want that though, they've got weird kinks.

@sawaba I laughed out loud at the weird kinks... mainly because youre probably more right than not! But totally agree about the functionality and risk factors
