I have never cared about the medal count at the Olympics, especially in men's hockey where I put NHL loyalties first.

What's so awesome about this #Olympics for me is the way our USA athletes are representing our diversity and speaking out against Trump. They're out there winning medals being "woke" and #MAGA is crashing out over it, or flat trying to deny it.

Our athletes' sportsmanship and bravery mean so much more to me than any gold medal ever could.

One of the Japanese women's skaters was crying after just missing out on gold and the camera was panning in on her for some emotional voyeurism. Amber Glenn said "not on my watch" and deliberately stood between the other woman and the camera.

Then there was the amazing display of sportsmanship from all the Japanese skaters on the medal platform and bench.

All these women were supporting each other regardless of nationality, sexual orientation or anything else-- this is why they are champions.

I've never been much into figure skating but watching these women represent America has been very heartening.

@LittlePolarBear
Right? I all but gave up on the sport years ago because the judging was such crap, but this is amazing.
