Sliver Moon Map

Along the very edge of the visible moon I have marked some of the visible craters/rilles on the moon.
It is hard to match the edge due to libration changes. I had to work backwards matching stellarium over 3 days.

@appagalcrochet I know the struggle. I often sketch the moon, as it appears in the eye piece. Stellarium is not a good choice for identifying lunar objects. I recommend a tool named lvtl lunar terminator visualisation tool. It renders the image based on a digital terrain model and your position on earth. Its a bit old and dusty, but once you familiarized a bit, its super cool. Just a mess to get a good terrain dataset. If you are on Linux, it goes with wine without probs.

@guineasofbayeux I used my globe map to mark out the actual craters, but I used the pictures from the past 3 days to reference back to each day to match the terrain. Once I found the edge of Schumacher I knew where I was. 🤪
@appagalcrochet This is fantastic work!🤩
