If found #guilty, a #person could be sentenced to 2 to 5 years in #prison. Since 2023, a #racial #insult — when the offense is directed to a specific individual rather than a collective — also had its #penalty increased and equated to #racism in the #legislation. Paez was arraigned for the latter.
