If I told you that I’m drinking my neighbor’s wife’s milk, you’d think it’s pretty weird. We should feel the same way about drinking another animal’s milk.

How an Australian farmer is planning to get US consumers hooked on camel milk

A staple in African and Arab communities for millennia, camel milk is now being marketed as a ‘superfood’

The Guardian
@davidho was just going to say, not as weird as from a different species. ;)

@davidho I grew up in a farming community & can attest it is quite bizarre, sick and cruel. None speak of the artificial insemination, the clots & pus from mastitis, the endless antibiotics to help cows not die, how they are milked by machines while pregnant to be more 'productive', the supercharged estrogen levels in their milk as a result, nor how cows holler for days after their kid is taken, often for fattening before put in a truck for slaughter.

And people think milk from beans is wrong

@davidho especially when we have so many good alternatives.
