really unbelieveable how many times I disable all AI in search for DuckDuckGo and then it comes right back and I have to disable it again

@susankayequinn

I use startpage.com

As far as I know, they don't use AI.

@Firlefanz @susankayequinn I use qwant.com and haven't seen any ai there.

@susankayequinn

Not experienced this.

I'm using 4 devices and have disabled AI search on each.

I'd be incredibly pissed off...

@susankayequinn Sorry. I’ve never had this issue on any of my devices using #DDG.
@susankayequinn have you tried Ecosia? Their AI is a smaller/lower energy model, powered by green energy and can be turned off.
@solarmunk
AI should be destroyed, I'm definitely not using it
@susankayequinn It's possible that if you're blocking cookies by default, DDG is unable to store your preferences locally, with the net effect being that it forgets your settings. I mean, maybe? There may be ways to disable AI results for DDG using URL parameters, like this one for Google: https://www.google.com/search?q=%s&udm=14

@jrivett I do have to clear out my cache every once in a while because Firefox grabs some error and holds onto it. That happened recently. Just glitchy-ass software and AI that's shoved into everything by default.
