Drawing a ton of traces on a PCB (in KiCad) might be the closest I have ever gotten to understanding why all the people I live with (and many others) love knitting, crocheting, etcetera. It is so zen to just do that same thing for two hours.
it's here! this might feel even cooler than seeing my first 3D design roll out of my own printer
it's aliiiive. Simple bash loop around `gpioset` for 5 pins on the Pi CM3 causes signals to go up and down on pins soldered to my miniPCIe protoboard.

And finally, it is servings its original intended purpose: a SX1262 LoRa module connected to miniPCIe on a Helium miner, turning the miner from a sad investment (not mine) into a useful citizen of the MeshCore network!

Next up: design a miniPCIe board so this can also work with the case closed.
