Didn't want to necrobump this thread but THANK YOU to this person.

Moved my sensors from ZHA to Zigbee2MQTT as you do on a Friday night... they were low LQI (low signal) one really slow in the hallway. Oh dear, was this a bad move?

12, 40, really low. The front door had a delay to fire the light.

I looked at the Zigbee map and realised my Hue lighbulb is also a router. And one high LQI device was connected to it, but the rest were slow and connected to the dongle.

Turns out, you can pair to a device, just click the little drop down, select the router, and re-pair. All fine. Now they all are at 147 and even the hallway one is 60 something. YAY!

So that alone & being able to change the cool off times and make both motion sensors have the same settings is worth the switch. First time I tried it all went wrong, and I don't know why. So went ZHA.

Had to go scorched earth with the addons though, manually delete everything....cos it at first would not start.

Zigbee2MQTT force devices to connect to another router?

Just force it. You can enable to only “join using this device” in Z2M. That way the IKEA plug will be the only option. Just press the small arrow down, next to the “premit join”
