- software projects with a pinch of ethical considerations : "we are migrating away from Microsoft GitHub"
- @pagedjs :

@clemtre @pagedjs

Paged.js code has been also on github for a while, and we’re considering having a clone on codeberg. Most of the contributions we had came from github and not gitlab (unfortunately)

I don’t like gh, nor the interface, nor the pricing, nor the AI first move, nor microsoft.

But there are multiple reasons for being on github for a lot of projects, and reducing the ethics of their teams to the ability of not being on microsoft’s github is quite a quick blow.

Also, Coko is not paying for paged.js anymore.

Adam has been supporting us financially (but not only) for almost a decade, and without him, there wouldn’t be any paged.js.

Yet, we’re now trying to figure out a way to make paged.js sustainable by itself (though it’s not really easy to set up, while we’re taking jobs and gigs to eat some food at the end of the month)

but we’ll get there eventually.

@julientaq
Off the top of your head, is there anything we can do to help sustain paged.js? I think quite a lot of us "users" of it would be willing to lend a hand in the ways we can.
@clemtre @pagedjs

@dobody @clemtre @pagedjs i think it’s time we have this paged.js community meet to take those question as a group.

i’ll put that in a call with the team. and we’ll get to that before the end of march.
