Why is this country even in the EU? Hungary has suspended support for a €90bn EU loan to Ukraine until oil supplies via the Druzhba pipeline are restored, Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said. He argued that limiting transit contradicts the Association Agreement and obligations toward the European Union. #Ukraine

So frustrating.

When Orbán came back to power, I remember reading about his autocratic attempts (taking over courts, media, political system, modifying the constitution), and I wondered why the EU wasn't taking action to limit him, to protect Hungary from a person trying to become a dictator.

I want Orbán gone. I hope the EU realizes that total consensus is too much of a political requirement. And I hope the next time a leader makes an autocratic attempt, the EU reacts swiftly.

Same for the US, once it gets past Trump. If it gets past Trump. Lots of reforms required.
