…why are they any different than any other community you don’t care about? There aren’t pictures included in the announcements, and you can easily scroll past the post.

Because for normal people there is a subtle difference scrolling past single announcements for communities about gardening and games vs gaping assholes and huge dicks and especially when you get tens of the latter in sequence.

I think what compounds it is that its a populated instance being set up with piefeds tools to do this. I assume it’ll burn itself out soon.
