@tg I‘d love to try whatever you’re cooking up with regards to RSS.

I’ve been a big RSS guy since NetNewsWire 1.0. I’ve settled on Reeder on all my Apple devices but that is squarely in traditional territory. It’d be cool to see a new idea.

Fever was the last interesting idea in my books. Subscribe to a lot of feeds and let the big news bubble up. It’s feels like this is something an AI model would be perfect for.

@deandmx amazing! I’ll follow up with a test flight link when ready

@tg Current is a very novel take on an RSS reader. I’m still finding my feet with it after using RSS the traditional email inbox way.

The main pain point I’m feeling initially, is the lack of images in the list view. I sub to a few image heavy feeds that I only now realised after they’re gone, that I choose to read based on the images I see as I scroll. An option to add them back in would be much appreciated.

It would be nice to see post author names in the River view like Reeder does also.

@deandmx trying very hard to walk the balance between too much and not enough. "just right" is what I'm after. I'll probably add a setting for this to enable if you want it, I'll ship it to test flight first to see what folks say.
@tg This looks like a bug. Items disappear in the River as I scroll.
@deandmx thank you, very good video to help me diagnose. should be fixed today!

@tg I think I’ve got another one.

On my Mac, when I’m caught up or stop I get the waterline as expected.

On my iPhone, I’ve never seen the waterline and when I return I’m sent straight to the top of the list.

Thanks for adding thumbnails to River! I’m not seeing as many I expected though. My feed list in other apps shows m thumbnails for the same posts?

@deandmx are you on 1.0.3 on phone? You should definitely be seeing the waterline.

As for the thumbnails, this is sort of v0.1 release of that feature. Right now it relies just on if the feed itself provides one, it doesn't proactively scrape the site for one for performance reasons (for now). But this will improve.

@tg Yep 1.0.3 on iPhone. Tbh, I didn’t even know about the waterlines feature until I read the docs and installed the Mac version. I should add that I’ve not seen the waterline on iPad either.
@deandmx is your mac app open while you're opening the other platforms? i'm wondering if it's bypassing the waterline on both of those in favor of the one on mac

@tg No, I’m mostly using the iPhone version.

I just now was using the iPad version, then opened the iPhone app and the iPad scrolled up to the iPhones position in the list, which always loads to the top. Neither showing the waterline.
