The Ottawa Convention on Landmines is looking more and more ridiculous. Apparently it was an agreement to not use landmines unless you think you might want to use landmines.

@stribeprogblog there's lots of blame to share around. Ultimately, one can and should choose which munitions can ethically be used in defense, and which bring ancillary impacts that are inappropriate in any context. The idea behind the Ottawa Convention is that landmines are unethical in any context. Period.

So, yes, Russia is the current aggressor, but I will not hold blameless those who choose to take an ethical stance only until it is no longer convenient.
