Yesterday Cory Doctorow argued that refusal to use LLMs was mere "neoliberal purity culture". I think his argument is a strawman, doesn't align with his own actions and delegitimizes important political actions we need to make in order to build a better cyberphysical world.

@dingemansemark @tante And this is it! I truly think even if technology were completely liberated from corporatized capture, I really do not think that any societal thing would improve greatly. It might, say, allow easier community creation but at the end of the day, people need that liberation a lot more than the technology
