@arial yeah well tip for you so you don’t burn out is to follow a bunch of users and just start interacting with them. And soon you’ll find a good crew of people around here.
I’ve seen a lot of users come on here, start talking to basically themselves and then flame out when they don’t get traction, so I don’t wanna see that happen in your case. Cool computer btw
@sayonaraminasan won't happen, not my first ride with with mastodon ! (i was there in 2015/2016 i think~ ?) I've spent the last week trying to find an instance that would fit my interest. Most linux's ones weren't really actives, and this one seemed to be, AND i saw people talk about linux, so that's how i made my choice.
Been spending the last 15 years or so tweeting daily, and i just can't anymore with twitter. I've been in private for 3 years and don't really find new peoples there, and don''t want to be on public again. I also would like to be less on discord. So i'm trying to find smaller communities, where i won't have to "prove" that i'm cool or whatever. I've been enjoying myself there, the goal is to spend a little time on social media after all !
