"The Defense Production Act provides a pathway for companies to be shielded from certain liability suits, and Trump’s order appeared to extend that protection to producers of glyphosate.

Last year, a coalition of env groups, MAHA activists and Democratic lawmakers defeated a provision tucked into a govt spending bill that would have shielded Bayer and other pesticides makers from lawsuits. A similar provision has now been introduced in the draft Farm Bill."
