For the last few days, our lift has been out of order because it made a very scary noise. We are pleased to report that we are once again fully flat access to all galleries with a lift in full working order.
It turned out, the lift needed lube. The moral of the story is lube is IMPORTANT.
Please also note that WD40 is a great lube for lifts, but should never be applied to a vagina.
And vice versa, we suppose. A nice body safe water-based lube probably wouldn't do the lift much good.
@mahryekuh @vagina_museum It was all a bit sweet smelling and sticky, dripping from one level to the next, and took more paper towels to mop up than I had available ... and I had to rush off and supervise students without cleaning up fully.
Sounds like it ought to be part of a raunchy novel...

@mahryekuh @vagina_museum I was pushing a small trolley full of snacks and drinks between floors to fuel the students. As I emerged from the lift doors on the higher floor, a 2l bottle of carbonated lemonade made a bid for freedom, slipped out of the trolley, its top came off, and contents gushed* into the gap between the lift and the shaft before I could catch it and stop it...
