Actual quote by Kyle Gann in an intro to Just Intonation:
"Equal temperament could be described as the musical equivalent to eating a lot of red meat and processed sugars and watching violent action films. The music doesn't turn your attention inward, it makes you want to go out and work off your nervous energy on something."
I have zero patience for just intonation supremacists.
@ho for real. just use what sounds right for the song, ffs.

@c_reider @ho I use JI for just about everything (unless it's noise-oriented), but I'm just a weirdo. There's no "best" or "better".

tldr: What C. said

@c_reider @ho But I don't think Gann (disclosure: he's a friend) is any kind of supremacist. He writes 12EDO music too.
@ho i wonder if anyone combined this with 432Hz yet for double the quackery
@ahihi The 432 Hz people I can laugh off. Gann is a respected scholar in musicology, who has a habit of mixing his weird personal opinions into informational writing.
@ho that's such a weird take in so many ways...
