For the last few days, our lift has been out of order because it made a very scary noise. We are pleased to report that we are once again fully flat access to all galleries with a lift in full working order.

It turned out, the lift needed lube. The moral of the story is lube is IMPORTANT.

Please note that vaginas do not typically make a scary noise when they need lube.

Please also note that WD40 is a great lube for lifts, but should never be applied to a vagina.

And vice versa, we suppose. A nice body safe water-based lube probably wouldn't do the lift much good.

@vagina_museum WD40 is an excellent water displacer and rust loosener, but is a terrible lubricant.

Please ensure a suitable grease is applied to prevent further binding or excess friction - likely lithium, silicon or molybdenum grease if the surfaces are slightly damaged. Please consult the lift manufacturer's manual for appropriate recommendation.

Unfortunately water based or silicone based are not suitable for elevators, regardless of the rise you can get out of them or how fun they are to ride.
