#StarWars #TalesOfTheUnderworld

Ok so 2 things:

I don't like that they canonise Dark Disciple, but at least Ventress survives. Well... she is resurrected so it's kinda the same.

Ventress being having truble dealing with one single inquisitor is kinda bullshit... She used to duel with fucking Anakin and Obi-Wan, and she didn't cut herself from the Force. She should be washing that guy. They at least could have involved two inquisitors for this, but I guess it was too expensive.

Oh come on now... She is saved by the padawan? This is ridiculous.

The second part is of to a great start... /s

"The safest place for you is with me."

Assajj, he just saved your life and you were trying to get rid of him a moment ago. Your credibility here is not the best.

"How do I know you won't kill me once you found the Path?"

Boy, she just revealed her identity to you, and before that she tried to make you leave. If she wanted to trick you there were better, more direct way of doing so.

Oh sure, use your light saber on a stealth mission to kill troopers, that will not draw special attention at all... 🙄

I get the gist of the general story they are trying to tell, but man...

This is rough.

The relation betwen Assajj and the padawan is rushed, but that's not the main problem. The problem is it's using plot point that could work on a longer format but since its not the contrivances are very obvious. And it makes the characters look kinda stupid.

The show looks good at least. You can see the years of experience and improvement they have with the whole clone wars show, rebels and the bad batch...

I do like Assajj's attitude also.

What can I say, I do like a character reluctantly accepting the help and trust of other while also being there surrogate parental figure.

Those B1 scarecrows are a good narrative idea, and they are also very disturbing.
Do we know the guy?

The simplicity of the resolution on this one...

I mean who are those tales aimed at?

I dig the "old soldier can't let go of war" narrative, but there is blood between him and the "raiders" now. You can't hope he will just accept to compromise just because you asked him a bit insistently.

At least you could have played the "if you're to stubborn your grand daughter will pay the price" card.

And the smile at the end was probably a bit much.

Of course he stayed with Assajj... 🙄

So is this before or after she met the Bad Batch ?

Please don't be about young Cad Bane... I don't want to hear about young Cad Bane... -_-
It is Cad childhood and I hate that it is.
I don't mind a tragic back story vilain. But in Star Wars they will not let one vilain other than Palpatine be just some asshole.
He shot the Marshal, but he didn't shoot the deputy...

The best part of the episode is the evolution of Duro during the story.

Which begs the question : What happen to Duro in the first place to be such a terrible place ? What changed that made things better ? (probably not cops)

Other question : We see Niro is still here and life got better for him, but was he lucky or is it true of the whole neighborhood still here and more wealthy now? Did Duro get gentrified ?

Niro got married to Cad ex girlfriend? Who ws pregnent with Cad's child???

Now if you really piss him of I guess that's one way to do it...

Every body telling Niro to get out of town... You think Cad would just... give up?

Or are you just afraid because it means things will go bad here rather than somewhere else?

"I saved her life."

I'm guessing the doctor who took care of her deserve some credit here. Are they part of the polycule too ?

Also, by marrying her you put her in danger.

And the worst part of this is we don't even get to see her so far... 6 min left and she's barely a character.

They fridged her????

This show is the worst.

This was... not great. Lot's of tropes that gets nowhere near enough time to develop, lots of contrivances, and choice I don't agree with.

Visually it's still good. The overall two narratives aren't bad, but tales are mid at best.

I didn't need a tragic backstory for Cad, I stand by that. I also didn't need to find out Cad's hat obsession's origin story. Honestly I'd prefer he just bought a hat one day and stuck with it.

For Assajj, my main complain is that they kept dark disciple canon and that she needed a padawan's help to deal with one single inquisitor. After that it's... well mid. Not bad, but without surprises and too easy.

I get the format is limiting, but this is the assignment, deal with it.
