oh so like yt dlp will now require a js runtime because of youtube fuckery, and the one they recommend above the rest is "deno"
I click on github releases and

A user you’ve blocked has previously contributed to this repository.

oh no that's Claude

and then I look at their website and seeing announcement for

A new Deno Deploy API for running untrusted code in secure Linux VMs. Built for AI agents; made for you.

yep there are merged prs in there "authored with claude code" I don't trust that
the second listed option is node js
well I guess let's try node js
this one doesn't have the claude warning on the github
ok let's see if that worked
(for the curious reading this https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp/issues/15012 and https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp/wiki/EJS)
the deno worked at least but bleh
@lykrast  unfortunately deno is the "correct" choice here. the node runtime for yt-dlp is an unsandboxed and potentially dangerous fallback
@exa aw
@exa so I gotta uninstall node js then
@exa I got trust in you at least but still I don't feel good about that
@lykrast  deno has a pre-AI history and is Generally Good but it doesn't make me happy either
@lykrast deno is reassembled node, literally (no de no)

also made by the person who kind of invented node (ryan dahl)

been around for a while before claude existed too, sucks everything is AI marketing now tho for sure
