When you see your media telling you that Canadians aren't going to the United states because of tariffs, I implore you to understand that the tariffs are the least of the reasons why.

First and foremost is the threat of military conquest.

Second, is the kidnapping of Canadians by ICE, being held for months without charge.

Third, the United States is fomenting sedition in the province of Alberta.

Fourth is the illegal trade war and tariffs.

There are certainly other reasons such as the American leadership is, or are, protecting pedos, and how the United States is threatening to annex Canada's neighbour, Greenland, and their invasion of Venezuela, and so on.

The tariffs are the smallest part and not even the whole story of that part.

@thedoh I know some people who hold dual US/Canadian citizenship. Their residence is in the US.

They fear visiting Canada. Why? Not because of Canada. Rather, they fear that the US could decide that because they are Canadian that the US could ignore their US citizenship (and residence) and block their return home.

In other words, they have concerned that should they ever leave the US, particularly to another country in which they hold citizenship, that they may have crossed a ratcheting barrier and might not be able to return home.

@karlauerbach I have dual citizenship and live in Canada (I left during Bush 2) and even I won't go back to visit. Citizenship is meant to guarantee entry, but I've been hassled by πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ border guards before, many years ago, and have no desire to repeat that experience and/or risk being sent to a concentration camp.

I advise everybody not to visit the US. It's sad that some Canadians who reside in the US with US citizenship are fearful to leave because of re-entry concerns. In theory it shouldn't happen because we have to travel with our passport of the destination country: If I go to the US, I need to use my US passport. When I come home to Canada, I need to use my Canadian passport. But also in theory there is supposed to be due process, so, there you go.
