Maggie MaybeNH DHHS sent EVERYONE on SNAP a letter saying they need to comply with work requirements, then they sent a letter to all of us who are exempt to tell us they made an error.
It looks like approximately 75,000 (low end of the estimate) people in NH get food stamps. I have no idea how many of us are exempt from work requirements but at 78 cents a stamp the 1st set of letters cost $58,500 not including the cost of the paper, envelopes, ink & electricity to print them, or the wages of the people who had to take the calls and fix the system.
This doesn’t include the 2nd round of letters to tell us never mind. What are these chuckleheads even doing? Talk about waste and abuse JFC $58,500 and all that paper for nothing. The poor trees. 😢
