Hi friends ☺️ (waves paw), I’m just chilling this afternoon! We are a few days behind here but will slowly catch up this week. ❤️ #SkyeLove
@Satori Hi sweetie! Chilling is what long weekends are for! (Bet that syntax really annoys BunMum, lol)
@Byronrabbit 🤣🤣🤣 She immediately tried to add a “for which” in there but it didn’t work. Became a dessert conversation at the table 🤣
@Satori Hee, hee! Dessert grammar 🙂 "Chilling is what long weekends are all about." Another preposition! To keep the focus on chilling, maybe "Chilling is the whole point of a long weekend" Gotta feel sorry for English learners. At least it's declension-free!
@Byronrabbit Ha! True. We have a page a day calendar with old words and they go on about odd topics, it’s been interesting. A few days ago they mentioned the church/upper class deliberately chose uncommon spellings as standard spelling to create barriers and keep out the riff raff from literacy. Is this a theory you’ve heard of?
@Satori No, I haven't come across that. Seems plausible. I don't know much about English, but for French the printing press helped standardize spelling big time.
