I just updated the WinTalker NVDA addon to fix pitch support. https://datajake.braillescreen.net/TTS/SynthesizersForNVDA/WinTalker.nvda-addon
@datajake1999 What kind of synth is this?
@datajake1999 Nope, pitch is still behaving the same as it did before
@Bri I guess we are talking about two different problems. I fixed the bug where the range of the pitch slider didn't cover the total range of the engine.
@datajake1999 Ah, gotcha. My issue is that when changing voices, the pitch doesn't always change to match the voice properly. It also seems like pitch changing in general is kind of, sluggish? Takes a few times to actually go?
@datajake1999 hang on, wintalker nvda addon? wasn't wintalker for sapi 4 only?
@esoteric_programmer The synthesizer being discussed was never made for SAPI. There actually was another synth called WinTalker that was SAPI4 compliant, however it wasn't an English speaking engine.
@datajake1999 ah, lol! I thought you were talking about that one :p
@pixelate @datajake1999 Incredible! Do you know the name of that voice that people use in songs with dectalk? It doesn't appear here.
@diegomatos16 @pixelate @datajake1999 You might be thinking of vocal writer, which was an application for the mac. Usually the lead vocal singing is fred, which is one of the macintalk voices.
@Jmd2000 @pixelate @datajake1999 Is there any way to do this on Windows? And with a tutorial?
@diegomatos16 @pixelate @datajake1999 No. Vocal writer has long since been abandoned. It was only compatible with very early versions of mac OS, and the software itself was not accessible.
@Piciok @datajake1999 Note: this is not the Croatian win talker voice tts
