@poppyhaze Last night in an astronomy discord, we had someone show up trying to show off an astrodynamics library "for satellite constellation design, analysis, and operations" that they'd slop-coded. They had no aerospace background, and my questions about what was going on were mostly copy-pasted from an LLM. Was it accurate? 🤷

They've left, I guess since they weren't really interested in either astronomy or astrodynamics and just wanted to have us use this thing that they "worked" on?

@Newpa_Hasai i read a blog by an editor for romance novels saying she can tell immediately because if she asks a normal author a question, lore and dropped plots pour out

she asks an AI-"author" and they're like "i dunno, who cares, just make it work" even for things like major continuity errors
