WTF is with all the "Papers, Please, but without the dystopia" games? Like... the dystopia is the point. The surveillance state and all the horrible shit it forces upon you is THE POINT.

If you're playing a "Papers, Please" clone and it's in any way cheerful or cozy, you're basically playing fascist propaganda. Pressing a button to "send someone away" because of they failed a paperwork check should never feel fun or silly.

It should feel bad. Every time.

@valthonis there was a cozyslop airport security simulator, and the same slop company made, and i quote, landlord simulator. With an evict button

edit: rentlord, not landlord simulator. See

a wholesome plane has hit the second cozy tower

more like no thoughts to declare

@alice @valthonis I was trying to figure out what company this was about, but honestly this Steam user tag selection on this simulator is gold enough for me to stop caring
@[email protected] @valthonis looks like there’s are multiple and i misremembered and when fact checking i just did a search fof landlird sinulator and assumed that’s the one - sorry

I meant the one mentioned in
https://blog.giovanh.com/blog/2025/10/22/a-wholesome-plane-has-hit-the-second-cozy-tower/ (went back and found that article), so “rentlord”, and the company is called “rogue duck”
