Here’s my thread with some basics of information security - multi factor, password vaults, and so on. Unfortunately, there’s not a lot an individual can do (reasonably) to protect against surveillance by a hostile nation state, but everybody should do these things. bsky.app/profile/some... 2/?

If you need to say things or organize activities that could be interpreted as obstructing federal operations or creating risk for federal agents? Do not communicate about those things on insecure platforms. Some conversations should only be had in person. 3/?

Addendum: A lawyer friend points out that these are probably not actual subpoenas - at least not in the sense that word is usually used. Meta, #$GOOG, and the rest are so complicit and corrupt that they’ll probably narc us all out anyway … but a company with a spine and a conscience could resist.
