@alice @Aprazeth It's like no one remembers that we didn't catch colds or the flu when we were all masking up.

That was so nice! Winter 2020 was the first time in my adult life I was free of respiratory infection, because *everyone* was keeping their germs to themselves.
I still mask, but catch secondhand crud from my kid and my mom, etc etc.

It was so effective that as a "side effect" an entire strain of the flu disappeared. Completely.

Imagine if we kept that up and properly ventilated.

People wouldn't get sick as often, and an immense boost to happiness and productivity (sick people don't work as hard!)

@Aprazeth @kimlockhartga @alice
It upsets me so much.

We accidentally eliminated an entire flu strain, then instead of doing it on purpose more we ensured it would never happen again.

@silvermoon82 @kimlockhartga @alice

Most won't, but a few of us will. And I take some solace in that

I keep an extra disposable mask in my coat pocket at all times. So if anyone asks I actually *can* spare one. Who knows, one day maybe

@silvermoon82 @alice @Aprazeth It's like it takes a significant number of us taking precautions in order to protect all of us.
