Lol. The RFK stans came out today.

I’ll be as polite as I can here:

RFK could choke on a fucking pinecone and I would piss on his headstone every time I was in town.

I watched people die of vaccine preventable disease in ‘21-22. I hospitalized flu patients this fall who didn’t vaccinate. I’ve listened to people cling to false hope that avoiding seed oils will cure their cancer.

RFK is an evil shitbag grifter. Every death from his nonsense rests on him. Fuck the guy with a hedge trimmer.

Okay, I may taking this out of context and I am asking for clarification. Is this something that RFK said or is it your opinion?

Cancer is defined as misshapen unhealthy cells, healthy cells in places in our anatomy where they do not belong. In short it is an issue with cell reproduction and lack of adequate autophagy. It is true that all multi-cell organisms have cancer by definition. The clinical definition only deals with situations where these cells create a health concern.

You can argue the semantics of my simplified connotation that is not intended to be medically accurate but to supply context for what I am saying if you choose to. That if fine.

As cancer is naturally occurring, especially in animals with trillions of cells, there is no curing cancer. There are ways to prevent the advent of cancer from becoming a clinical concern. Seed oils, because of the process that is used to extract them, has biologically been determined to promote cancer. This is not even a question. It is a statement of fact as we know it in modern biology as it applies to human health.

With that said. Everyone should be avoiding seed oils that use the hazardous chemical extraction that causes the oils to be rancid, and then need to be deodorized to be sold to the consumer. These are a real hazard to our international society today. They really should be banned for use with food.

Have a great day!

Where to start here…

RFK’s form of nutjobbery takes facts (some seed oils may increase inflammation), adds conjecture (they could increase cancer risk because of inflammation), and then runs with it to promote some absolute bullshit. The result is people doing things like eating more red meat (a known carcinogen) because they think the fat is healthier, or people thinking avoiding sunflower seed oil will affect the outcome of their metastatic cancer.

@unusnemo

The fact is that we don’t actually know if seed oils cause cancer, or even increase risk, by themselves. We absolutely know that certain seed oils, when exposed to high temperature cooking repeatedly (so, used, stored, used again, etc.), increase cancer risk, but that isn’t the same as eating some brownies with canola oil.

Things that do cause cancer, like red meat, are actually being promoted by RFK and his band of merry misinfo peddlers.

@unusnemo we also know, without any doubt whatsoever, that influenza, Sars-CoV-2, streptococcus pneumoniae, diptheria tetani, meningococcus, measles, varicella, and other vaccine-preventable diseases cause death. We know, without a doubt, that human papilloma virus causes cancers that kill. RFK is constantly and actively working to undermine confidence in vaccines, and is now, with Vinay Prasad, blocking access as well.

@mcnado

I agree to disagree on all counts, you simply have no clue what you are talking about.
