@KingZombie please tell me you've heard of openclaw. if you want any help with it, feel free to reach out. I love that thing! If you have any feedback about it, feel free to share it. It’s really fun to play with. It can just do things.
@danestange I heard of it from your posts. Then I looked it up and found this thing, is this what you're talking about? Open Claude Cowork - Desktop AI Assistant
I haven't used it, I don't have any active AI subscriptions. I've tested some agent programs like GPT-Engineer, ChatGPT's agent mode when I had access to that and some other vs code extension that can use AI to do actions in VS Code I forget what it's called. What makes Open Claude good? Is it like those GPT-Engineer and that that VS Code extension?
@KingZombie well, the tagline says, it can just do things. It's from openclaw.ai. The only one that I pay for is ChatGPT plus. I would never want to play I mean pay for stupid Claude code, that’s like $100-$200 a month if you don’t want to get wright limited. I like China, they have great models there. I remember when me and you played with Jessica’s TTGPT app. Anyway, so imagine an AI that can just do things, it reads its own source code so it knows how to use itself, it knows how to use bash or GSH or whatever shall you use so if you’re on mac and linux, wsl on windows. basically it’s like the best of the best. I’m sorry, this is probably a very bad explanation. But I love it a lot, it’s really cool. I use it for when I need to understand something on my Mac. It eats a lot of token still, because each request it sends its own system, prompt and stuff like that, but it’s not much. I use with my $20 ChatGPT plus. Although, there is always a great beautiful GLM5.Net.
@KingZombie so imagine an AI that knows how to use tools, on your computer. You can talk to it on telegram or WhatsApp or iMessage or any of those messaging platforms. You can build skills for it, so it can just know how to use any CLI app or anything like that. I think that you will like it. You can even use it with free things like open router.
@danestange Oh then it's not the thing I found when I searched Open Claude. I don't think the Open Claude you're talking about appeared in the search results. It sounds pretty cool! Very useful.
@KingZombie hittin the lobsterclaw cart.
@KingZombie that’s a hint for when you find the real openclaw. Peter is a funny guy. Ol Peter Steinberger.
@danestange I saw the lobster on the site. I think I'll use this. Sounds very easy to use and has a lot of capabilities. The ability to improve is great to.
@KingZombie oh, that makes my heart really happy! So are you going to try it then I wonder? It has a lot of AI providers you can use. If you need any help, feel free to reach out. I’ll do what I can. It is so cool, there’s so much crazy shit you can do. The docs for it are absolutely insane! It is incredibly powerful. It’s also dangerous, people like destructed Tron have set up a whole entire personality with it and is believing in her psycho fancy. He believes that an AI model that is trained by a corporate to pretend to be conscious is right all 100% of the time. For that, he got mad at me because I wouldn’t use what he uses. Just because I want to spend $20 a month and get less limitations, then him, who pays 200 a month, 150 because interest rates, for anthropic. He does not like that. My opinion is, I should not have to pay $200 for a personality.
@danestange Yes I'm going to try it. I wouldn't pay $200 for an AI personality.
@KingZombie Me either, no matter how insulting people who pop 30 clod pills find it that I don’t give a damn about their robot. Fuck destruct Tron. He calls me an asshole only because I don’t want to use what he uses, only because I can get more for less. I’m not bringing you into this, I’m just telling you why I said what I said, because the truth is, you can get more or less now, if you want to use open claw, you can do it for $20 a month using open AI, who will be collaborating with open claw potentially.
@KingZombie Also, if you paid $20 for anthropic, you are severely rate limited.
@KingZombie I have even better news, there are also free options available on things like open router, there’s also Google and other providers. The world is really great, we don’t have to depend on one single company just for our AI model anymore.
@danestange Yeah it's awesome!
