Earnings call today. If there are going to be layoffs, they are often announced there and then the meetings happen tomorrow. My manager sends me a DM this afternoon “need to call you when you have a minute.”

It turned out to be about another rush rush inane project. But oh man my heart was racing at the start. I told him at the end he scared the bajesus outta me and please god don’t request calls like that on earnings / post earnings day.
